It’s always nice to hear about local Canadian talent achieving success, and Omar Gandhi is a perfect example. He was born in Ontario, but has been making a serious dent in the architecture world from Nova Scotia.
Not even 40, he’s already racked up some impressive accolades for a humble residential architect. Having won the Canada Council’s Prix de Rome, a spot on the ‘World’s Top 20 Young Architects’ list, and now nominated several times for Archdaily’s yearly awards, he’s poised to expand westward from his base in Nova Scotia to open a new office in Toronto.
You can check out his website here which has some stunning photo’s of his work. As an aside, I think the power of great architectural photography can do some serious wonders for a budding designer’s exposure – especially given the incredible landscape’s he’s been working in lately. Expect to see more of Omar’s work in the future.
